Within the Global License Audit and Compliance organization, the License and Compliance Management (LCM) function is a Centre of Excellence delivering consulting and advisory services to customers and internal colleagues and stakeholders, to ensure customers are appropriately licensed, and to enable smart license management.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
A License Compliance Management Expert can demonstrate a deep know how of license compliance experience and understanding within the functional area. They are capable of understanding and articulating the relative features, business impact and value of services relative to specific customer situations. They take ownership of key activities during the planning, execution and resolution of license audits, coordinating other Global License Audit and Compliance functions and liaising with related SAP departments including sales, commercial and legal.
Responsible for balancing protection of SAP IP and the long-term customer relationship, the License Compliance Management Expert is the face of Global license Audit and Compliance for internal and external stakeholders. They are responsible for planning their own time and activities so as to meet expectations of internal customers for volume and quality of activity and revenue contribution. In addition, the expert may provide support to sales and/or the account team during specific sales engagements and general enablement extending audit and compliance expertise in their market unit, when and where needed.
Usual expectations may therefore include:
Supporting the sales team for license management topics such as RISE with SAP, S/4 conversion, HANA runtime to full use conversion, merger & acquisition, divestment, contract conversion, extension policy on shelf-ware
Analyzing customer’s contracts and their effective use to ensure license compliance
Helping customers manage their SAP Software Asset Management processes. This can include providing guidance on technical and contractual questions customers may have
Following-up with team members to ensure that license audits are completed in a timely manner,
Aligning with responsible local operations teams, license compliance managers and other local contacts regarding the findings of the license audits so that required action can be taken
Contributing to internal tools improvement / creation.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
Working in a multinational team, cross-country cooperation, and team-spirit
Very rigorous, excellent organizational and follow-up skills, ability to work in complex environments/situations leveraging influence management and assertiveness, highly appreciated
Strong customer focus and commitment to excellent customer service
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel); Macro coding much appreciated
Good knowledge of IT and/or the Software industry
Legal and/or Contract Management or IT Procurement experience much appreciated
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software asset management, sales or any customer relationship management related position/Knowledge of Software contracts necessary
Experience in customer-facing roles required/SAP knowledge preferred
